“The best kind of change”: Lauren Noble, News Editor

Walking into RV on the first day of my freshman year I have never experienced such heightened anxiety.

Moving on from my comfortable K-8 experience at Hainesport School to an unfamiliar maze of hallways at RV was what I thought to be the biggest change I would have to endure. However, with hindsight being 20/20, I look back and think of how that would be the best kind of change I could have asked for.

Although I probably wouldn’t agree with this statement if I were to revisit a morning where I had to wake up earlier than usual to make it to tutorial for a desk meeting, joining the Holly Spirit newspaper was one of the many significant parts of my four years here that I will carry with me to college. Working with a group of individuals with such passion and devotion for their work has helped me in more ways than one as I was surrounded by such extraordinary mindsets and personalities working together. I am grateful for this newspaper and our family of writers for my newly acquired appreciation for information and journalism that will stay with me for years to come.

RV gave me everything and more that one could ask for in a high school experience including strong academic and passionate teachers as well as friends and memories to last a lifetime.
