The Nicky Green Foundation is hosting a contest for anyone to submit their best T-Shirt design for this year’s 9th annual Nicky’s Run 5K and Family Fun Walk. 

The contest is open for submissions until March 31, 2021. The winner with the best logo will have their work printed on the T-Shirt for the run, along with a $25 Wawa gift card and a free admission to the event to walk for fun or run. The format for the design of the T-Shirt is to be 8 by 12 inches and only black and white. The 5K and Family Fun walk will be held on June 12, 2021, but the date and specifications may be adjusted depending on any changes with COVID-19. 

The Nicky Green Foundation is a group dedicated to spreading  awareness about and the prevention of youth suicide, specifically in New Jersey. This organization hosts two main events every year; the Nicky’s Run 5k and The Nicky Green Festival. Nicky’s Run 5K is known to be very successful, with 27 different states being represented in 2020’s event.

The 5K run is held in Eastampton on the Rancocas Valley Regional High School’s sports complex cross country course. Anyone can sign up to be a virtual runner, as an in-person walker/racer, or to volunteer for the event. The costs are $30 to be a runner or $25 to walk, with all proceeds going to the NG52. For those planning to race in-person, awards are being planned, depending on the COVID-19 conditions. There will also be other activities this year online.

Everyone interested is welcomed to submit their best design for the t-shirt’s logo. The foundation also encourages those who can to support their event and participate as either a virtual or in-person walker/runner to create and spread as much awareness as possible.
